Hello!

My name is Darin Youngs. I have served in ministry for about 24 years as a pastor, counselor, and military chaplain. 

​

For full-time work, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor for Pine Rest Christian Mental Health Services, seeing patients at the Portage Clinic.

I have been married to my wonderful wife, Patricia, since 1993. We have 3 sons, Wesley, Grant, and Garrison, who are now adults and out of the house starting families of their own. 

​

I am an ordained minister. I graduated from Moody Bible Institute with a Bachelor in Pastoral Studies, from North Park Seminary with a Master of Divinity, and from Liberty University with a Master of Professional Counseling.

As for hobbies, I enjoy jogging and exercise, playing guitar, experiencing nature, and travelling with my wife.​

​

​I was raised in a big farmhouse not that far from where the church is located. My family attended there for a time until my father, David Youngs, sensed a calling to pastoral ministry while he ministered to the youth at Trowbridge. I consider it a privilege and an honor to serve the church as Interim Preacher!

One of my favorite passages of Scripture is Colossians 3:12-14, where we are instructed as God's people to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. What a beautiful example of how faith in Jesus Christ and the presence of the indwelling Holy Spirit can change our lives for the better!
